IMPLEMENTATION OF TECHNOLOGY FOR SAFETY AND HEALTH

At NTC, we are committed to human health and safety through the implementation of advanced technologies, both commercial and internally developed. These innovations seek to meet the safety requirements and controls associated with critical risks in each leaching service we perform.

SOBEREYE System for Fatigue and Drowsiness Control

The SOBEREYE System is used to monitor workers' fatigue and sleepiness levels using a lens that measures pupil dilation in response to changes in light. This device is applied daily to vehicle drivers and equipment operators and allows historical tracking of measurements to ensure safety and optimize breaks.

Robot for Gas Measurement and Control in Leaching Areas (NTC's Own Manufacture)

We developed and manufactured a remotely operated, all-terrain robot that measures and monitors harmful gases (such as NO2 and HCl) in leach pads. This robot allows the team leader to verify the safety of the area before entering, avoiding direct exposure to these dangerous gases.

SMARTSAFE® Bracelets for Person-Equipment Interaction Detection

NTC's SMARTSAFE® technology consists of bracelets with sensors that alert both the operator and the mobile equipment when the defined safety radius is exceeded. This technology prevents accidents in areas where people interact with heavy equipment, such as backhoes, trucks, and cranes, increasing operational safety.

Two-Way Communication System for Equipment Operators

We have developed a two-way communication system to facilitate constant interaction between equipment operators and their assistants. This system, integrated with motorcycle intercoms and earmuffs, enables clear, hands-free, and noise-resistant communication, improving efficiency and safety in complex tasks such as lifting and drip line maneuvers.

Use of Robotic Pulling and Material Handling Units

Robotic pulling and material handling units are used to reduce physical strain when handling materials in stockpiles. These units reduce the risk of musculoskeletal injuries and allow access to high-risk areas without exposing workers to potential hazards.
